Why You Need Wedding Invitations –A Card Makers Biased View

People say that the only thing that matters during and after a wedding is the exchanging of vows between the bride and groom but despite that; I believe there’s a lot more that counts. Once a wedding is over(especially here in Kenya), people will go around talking about what the bride wore, why her new husband seemed sad throughout the occasion, how tasteless the food was, and why the cake should have been a black forest instead of a lemon cake. While you don’t expect to make everyone satisfied, this means that everything put together prior to the wedding matters. Hence, just like the décor and food, wedding cards have to be there and these should not just be any, but nice custom-made wedding invites!

Even though some people fail to realize it, wedding cards make your guests feel appreciated, and also give them a quick preview of the wedding. If you are having a wedding where orange and purple are the main colors for example, you will most likely incorporate those colors on your cards, which will in turn give the guests some info about your theme. Other than that, such cards will go a long way into helping them know when and where the ceremony will take place. Imagine a scenario where you are having a wedding in NPC on Valley Road for instance, and a long lost friend ends up in NPC Kisumu,  because that’s where they thought the ceremony would be.Okay…while that may be a bit overstretched; you still get the idea. With a map, (which will be printed on the card :)) you will make things easier not just for yourself, but for your precious guests as well.

To sum it up, just like a brochure, a wedding invite sets expectations while communicating a message at the same time. Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean you should go out and get a card with white paper on a white background and black lettering …the cards have to be eye-catching. So, you should get your creative juices flowing, and come up with something unique. If you feel unable to this, you can simply pick a handmade card from any of the many wedding stationery suppliers. Once you get the card personalized and give it away, it will be very well received. This will be an added bonus to the many nice things your guests will have to say to the friends, relatives, and workmates who may have not had a chance to attend and be part of your beautiful day.
